Camera Link Repeater and Splitter for Data Stability | iCore


 With the help of the link splitter and iCORE's camera link repeater, data may be sent to numerous frames grabbers while maintaining transmission distance. A device that increases the distance between the camera and frame grabber is called the iPlus CL Repeater. An apparatus used in image and machine vision systems to increase the range of Camera Link cables is called a repeater. Industrial cameras are often connected to frame grabbers and other image processing devices via the Camera Link standard interface. iPlus is a Camera splitter that increases the transmission distance between the camera and the frame grabber without loss of data (repeater) or splits the data captured by the camera and transmits it to two or more frame grabbers. The normal operation of a Camera Link repeater is as follows:

Compatibility: To provide support for a variety of Camera Link standards, Camera Link repeaters are made to work with Camera Link base, medium, full, and extended full configurations.

Signal Amplification: Through a shorter wire, the camera sends the Camera Link signals to the repeater. To make up for any transmission loss, it then amplifies and regenerates these signals. 

Signal Integrity: Longer cable lengths between the repeater and the frame grabber or other components can be used because the repeater restores the signal integrity.

Extension of Cable Length: A Camera Link repeater's primary function is to lengthen the effective connection so that cameras and other imaging equipment can be positioned more freely.

Power Supply: Camera Link repeaters usually require a power source to operate. They may be powered through the Camera Link cable or may have a separate power input.
